Thursday, October 24, 2019
1:00 pm - 4:30 pm

We're currently looking for volunteers for the upcoming NAIOP Colorado Developing Leaders (DL) Community Volunteer Afternoon. Join us as we will be volunteering with the Denver Parks and Recreation (DPR) on the afternoon of Thursday, October 24, 2019 to clean-up along the South Platte River Trail. To make this a success, we need your help!

SCHEDULE:
1:00 pm – 1:15 PM

Kickoff with Denver Parks and Rec at Fishback Landing Park.
Parking details: Parking is available in the adjacent Denver Aquarium parking lot. Inform the lot attendant you are volunteering with Denver Parks and Recreation and you will not be charged. Beware of “No Parking” where signs are posted.

1:15 pm- 4:00 PM
Volunteer activities along the South Platte River Trail. Projects will consist of debris removal and general trail maintenance.

4:30 pm - 7:00 PM
Real Estate on the Rocks (REOTR) happy hour at Zuni St. Brewing Company!
Each volunteer will receive two free drinks. The address is: 2355 W 29th Ave, Denver

ATTIRE:
Denver Parks and Recreation (DPR) recommends that you wear weather appropriate attire and close-toed shoes (sneakers). Please keep in mind that clothing should be something you won't worry about getting dirty. It is recommended that you bring a pair of work gloves, bottled water and sunscreen. Registration includes t-shirts for NAIOP volunteers.

LIABILITY FORM:
Please take the time NOW to fill out the Denver Parks & Rec Liability Form and email to NAIOP.  This will help check-in run more efficiently that day. Otherwise, you will need to fill out the form at check-in.

CHECK-IN:
Once you have arrived at the Fishback Landing Park, please see the DPR check-in desk first. They will make sure that your liability form is complete. NAIOP will have a separate check-in area; please be sure to check-in with NAIOP Staff to receive your t-shirt. Don’t forget that happy hour is included in your registration.

WRAP-UP & HAPPY HOUR..."TREAT YO SELF":
Our volunteer activities should wrap up by 4:00 pm; however, the expectation is finishing what we start! We are asking all volunteers to check out at Fishback Landing Park to turn in supplies to DPR. We hope to see all volunteers at the REOTR happy hour after project completion.

REGISTRATION:
Volunteer - Individual - $25
Volunteer - Team - $100 (includes 4 team-members)
